Wiltwyck Golf Club
Columbia University
Rich Mueller, PGA (Director of Golf, Head Men’s Coach)
On behalf of the men’s golf team at Columbia University, I want to thank Trevor, Bill, Eric, and the entire membership at Wiltwyck Golf Club for their willingness to support the Roar-EE Invitational this past Saturday.
The course, staff, hospitality, food, and beverage were all excellent. Coaches and players alike were highly complimentary of all Wiltwyck had to offer, especially early in the spring when conditions are generally uncertain. Typically, teams are excited just to have a place to play in decent conditions, but Wiltwyck’s were exceptional. Please thank the Superintendent and their crew.
Finally, all coaches and players are aware of the burden a Club bears when they give up their course on a weekend – especially when the weather is outstanding. Please know that everyone greatly appreciated the opportunity to compete while not missing school — you might have noticed that every school in our field has a strong academic compass and covets the chance to balance athletics and academics.
Again, thank you for your hospitality, willingness to host, and for giving every competitor an excellent experience.
I am hopeful we can continue this event in future years. Again, thank you for your hospitality.
Radio Woodstock
Joel B. Simon : Vice President, General Manager
Thank you and the entire Wiltwyck team for hosting another very successful Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation charity outing yesterday. Every aspect of the day’s events was perfect. The course, food, service to our guests and even the weather.
Thanks to the best and nicest team in golf. We are happy to work with you and really enjoy our partnership and friendship with everyone at the club.
YMCA of Kingston & Ulster County
Kristyn Keller: Development & Volunteer Coordinator
I cannot express my sincerest gratitude for everything leading up to and including Saturday night. Everything and I mean everything was perfectly executed. There’s not one detail that went missing. You both did everything I asked and made me and the YMCA look amazing. Thank you both again so very much.
Again – thank you so much.
Wiltwyck Member/Guest
What a weekend! Despite only playing just well enough and grinding to stay “in it” until final match, my brother Scott and I had a tremendous time. Please extend a sincere thank you to each of your staff for professional, friendly service and excellence in hospitality. They made everyone feel so welcome. With all the work and energy that goes into planning, I am sure it is rewarding to see that level of execution by your teams.
Golf Course: Impeccable course condition. Kudos to superintendant and staff. Also, good mix of both tough and getable pin placements. Greens were rolling fast and true. Weather firmed up the greens to make shot management and position even more important which brough an unexpectant element to the competition.
Tournament: Extremely well run. Loved the match play format, having spotters out there, organizational efficiencies/attention to detail that can go unnoticed, leaderboards and pace of play was surprisingly as good as you can hope for. Alternate shots for the shootout and chip offs made the tournament even more compelling.
Food & Cocktails: Simply Outstanding!! From the kickoff cocktail party and Dinner (Not sure how you were able to get that many lobster tails taste so fresh.) to breakfast, lunch at the turn … it had variety and excellence taste…. all of it! The bar/food staff smiled and served quickly for very long hours. That makes a difference for the whole experience. Coolers on the course kept well stocked.
